Moving a trailer out from under a boat.

I'd like to paint the bottom of my 22ft 1969 Reinell and can't figure out how to move the trailer out from under the boat and what to use to cradle it. Any idea's?

Lower the tounge, this raises the stern.
Block each corner of the stern
Raise tounge, the stern will be lifted..Block close to the bow, I uses a 4x4 wider than the trailer...notched a V in it for stability

pull trailer out, paint and reverse process!

Not that I would necessarily suggest doing it this way, but...

A few years ago I painted the bottom of my 25' bowrider. Similar to the post above I lowered the tongue, blocked the back and then raised the tongue. I couldn't get enough clearance, so I blocked up a bottle jack and raised the keel near the bow a little higher. I did not pull the trailer out as it would have been more work and I liked the idea that there was something between the boat and the ground other than me. I also let the air out of the tires to get a few more inches.

I also let the air out of the tires to get a few more inches.

You can even take the tires off to gain a couple inches. No need to actually pull the trailer out if you block the boat and then make the trailer as short as possible.

Yup seems like its been well covered. Biggeset problem for me was finding enough crap lying around to block up the back.... Then I thought about a friend of mine that cuts firewood. Asked him to cut me two big ol honkin logs to the exact length I needed and they worked great

I used old tires before and they worked well!
