moving trim /tilt motor

hello, 1988 thompson 240HT ,merc 5.0lx/alpha 1 gen1. Can i move my trim/tilt motor to the opposite side. Long story short ,put mercury 9.9 long shaft kicker motor on boat with 2 batts on same side ,boat would tilt ,and try to correct its self ,so moved 2 batts to other side ,but a little crammed over on that side with trim motor and 2 batts ,can i move trim motor to other side,doesn't seem like a problem just checking ,thanx

Yes but you need to disconnect the hoses drop them under the engine and reconnect on other side. Would also check you wiring harness can reach. I think unusually they get power off the starter positive lug. You certainly can modify the harness just a lot more work.

yes have plenty of wiring harness to move thanx

oh ya that wire ,i will have to modify positive wire ,but no big deal, have plenty of wiring harness
