I've been hearing from lots of people to run Mozilla instead of IE. Much less vulnerable to the nasty's on the internet. Built in popup blcoker, and less overhead.<br /><br />I'm using a slow 500mhz machine, and the speed difference is incredible. Pages load SO much faster because the machine is not lagging out. It doesn't mean that they pages DOWNLOAD any faster, but it's not bogging down the machine.

Re: Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer

ABSOLUTELY!! I've used Firefox (browser) and Thunderbird (email client) for awhile now, both are great. Opera browser is another alternate to MIE and outlook express..<br /><br />My feelings are this, sooner or later you're going to get whacked by an unpatched hole in either of the Microsoft products, gees, there's so many.<br /><br />"So if you don't want to get hit by the train, get off the tracks" and try another browser and email client.....<br /><br />"now back to your regularly scheduled programming...."

Re: Mozilla Firefox instead of Internet Explorer

I hope you guys are familiar with the extensions. They make the best browser even better. If you read a lot of news sites, try BugMeNot. It fills in logins and such so that you don't have to register for a newspaper site just to read an article. With the Firefox extension, you just rightclick on the form fields and select bugmenot. There are tons of other extensions that make the browser far more powerful than it already is. tabbed browsing rules too.

I am now using this and loving it. I probably won't use IE again since I have my spell checker now. :D

Firefox is the best browser so far. I use it on every computer I use.

I tried it for the first time today. Looks great so far...<br /><br />Has anyone noticed any web sites that don't work properly on it ? So far everything I've tried works fine.

I am putting it on every system I work on, no more problems with adware or spyware. You can set it so that redirected sites/pics are blocked also, this will make some web sites not display fully, and some not work at all. but thats there problem, there is a lot of other sites for the same thing/s

I've tried Firefox several times. I haven't had any luck with it. It takes FOREVER to load, if I right click on a webpage to save to the desktop it saves 2 separate icons. I just like the way IE works for me.

You may want to try Avant Broswer...I like it better then Mozilla.
