Easiest to remove the complete unit and set in in the stand. If it didnt leak before you did the work and now does , drop the lower and check your work.
You did install the small flat O ring between the units, correct?

ok so I am missing something i still have air leak if I test with low pressure air.
now let me say this it is a mr upper and a sierra bottom end
when i got the new pump kit and base plate got home and put what I thought to be right o ring on base and installed it (seems sloppy now i look again) when i was done installing the water pump i had left over gaskets and o rings ( I figured kinda universal kit) but now with troublesi wounder if I missed a bunch of stuff
will have to find a blow up of pump assembly

or looking for any other suggestions

Did you verify the quad ring that goes between the upper and lower?
