1983 evin 150 crossflow. i see the exhaust kits on scream and fly that
go on back of ex houseing. that lets free flow of exhaust above waterline
it can be plugged with rubber plugs to close it off .any thoughts on these i would like to try one it would be neat to get that ex sound and be able to cap it off when i wanted to.are there any perf, gains from this im running tony dukakis reeds and correctly jetted carbs thank you sir

Will you gain anything? It depends. Sometimes if you open the exhaust you actually lose. In most cases opening the exhaust is just part of dry stacking the exhaust. Depending on the boat, simply opening the exhaust will do little more than make a lot of noise at 6200 rpm or less.
