The Mudhens struck out 4 more times today. Added to 6 flyouts and hitting into a double play this has been the most embarrassing week of the season.
Backers are demanding that they quit. The manager has asked for time. . .unless they win the World Series by the end of August he will devise a new strategy.
When challenged by the press, the manager said that there is not much he can do to improve things when the team wins. Detractors protested that anything short of no-hitters is a losing effort. They continue to demand that the Mudhens withdraw from the league.
