Muffs on a Mariner????

Hi all,I need to crank one but regular round muffs don't fit so fine.The inlet appears to be rectangle?Maybe there's some other way,I think this motor is around 1976'ish.Thax in advance,dude11

go to walmart and get rectangled muffs i did for my 79 inline 6 mariner and they work great.

I don't think that rectangular grill is your inlet, look further down below the cav plate for one.
That 'wash' plug looks like it would take a fitting for flushing the motor out too.
