Is it ok to use muffs in the driveway at idle to get the engine up to temp and do minor adjustments?

That's what they are for! Just make sure you have enough water flowing through the hose or you can over heat the engine.

oh yeah! however i dont like to rev enginge at all on muffs and no more than 2000 rpms while on muffs make sure to get a good seal so air doesnt become a problem in the cooling system i even flush my motor using the muffs after a day at the lake or river, because lake has some debries/ algae and river water is so frekin hard

How else? I do it all the time, to keep that puppy growling like I like. We saltwater guys know the muffs are the most important accessory we have.

I like using a large rubber maid container and dropping the drive down in to it, just stick the garden hose in and filler up and leave the water running.
great way to test the raw water pump too.
