I recently bought a 2004 MV1860CC with a 2004 75hp Honda. The rig is in good shape overall. I have taken the engine off and lifted the floor out of the boat to get all the crap that was under the floor. The guy had it stored under a tree between trips. I will repaint the hull Duralux OD green and I would also like to paint the interior when I get everything put back together. The interior has a rubber-like coating sprayed on all surfaces and is slightly worn and faded real bad. I want to paint it a white with just a touch of blue. Has anyone out there painted over this rubber-like surface before? What type of coating was used? What sort of prep was necessary? How did it turn out? I called Interlux and their urethane finish will not adhere to the present finish. Any reply is much appreciated. Peace and God bless.
