I figured with all of your sage wisdom helping me out I would let ya see what you were helping me with. this here's my SIB fishing boat. photos taken from Apache Lake in Arizona last weekend. have some Scotty glue on pads with rod holders and anchor locks. Wise folding boat seats attached to a flat plank of wood that has felt pads underneath that sit on the bench and then are screwed together with another piece of wood under the bench/seat. Much nicer having back support for a long day of getting skunked on the water. I have West Marine 3 position plastic launching wheels bolted to the transom. 30# minn kota troller (probably will be upgrading soon). So that's my boat. any questions or critiques on my setup feel free to let me hear it. I was also hoping to pick some of your brains on ideas to mount a bow mounted trolling motor. Im thinking maybe build a box that would sit at the bow of the boat, secured with straps and D rings and then mount the troller onto that. Or possibly a frame type system. I inflate and deflate each outing so portability and ease would be paramount. Let me know whatcha think!

Nice, very nice set up. I've been wondering how I can afix some rod holders to my 10' Avon RIB.
I just did a quick search for them and if I don't sell my little RIB for a bigger 1, I'll be adding these next season.
Sweet !

Hey Paul I too am having mercury problems. My 20 won't start and my 9.8 is anemic and won't budge past 3400 rpm. Anyway as for my seats they are bolted to a seat swivel which are then bolted to a flat square length of board which is an inch on either side longer than the width of the bench. Then another length of wood runs underneath the bench and connects to the top board and secures via loop screws and flush mount T nuts at the front and back using the extra inches of wood that extend beyond the bench this sandwiches the bench between the 2 boards with the seat on top. So it's seat, swivel, wood plate, bench of the boat, underneath wood. Then added some thin rubber pads for grip and protect the top of the bench. I'll add some pictures on my lunch break as half of my boating equipment is still in my truck. If you don't have the benches on your boat you could always bolt a seat to a milk crate or bucket. Good luck!
