Re: my 1973 Larson All American

can someone tell me about a larson floor i have the deck up and see just a few beams and one stringer? Is the boat normal i have seen other with more wood in them. Also I am wondering about replacing the foam thats molded in the hull. How do I get it to reconform to the shape its on a trailer, and this is going to affect the shape right?

please advise me on whats what as far as the boards go. And why none of them are wrapped in glass or are bonded to the hull, thanks

Well its been a long month but I am happy to say we got the Larson out on the lake yesterday. After getting it started from sitting 4 or 5 weeks it went pretty good. Being it was the first cruise with it , i had to get used to the way she ran. I am hapy to say all went well, and I just wished I would have brought the handheld GPS so I could have checked speed as I wondered all afternoon.

Working on getting everything going and working right. So from some other posts , i am seeing that the rear all-around light need to be always on? Whether going or stopped, and the bow red/green lights need only be on while underway? I am working on getting the stereo hooked up to run on the ignition switch in the accessory position. I am wondering is the oil cooler a possible bypass, since mine seems to be leaking water into the oil? And if so just run a 10/40 or 20/50 weight oil?
