my 1991 johnson 40 HP update

Going for the rebuild!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My 200 dollar basket case has two scored pistons and cylinder walls.

No metal filings to speak of.

Have the block in the machine shop. They say at least 10 thou over may do it. Have listed al the seals and O ring need to install on crank.

I bought a manual which covers most outboards but when it comes to the timming I will have to come back to this site for better info.

Maybe some pictures of the rebuild is better than words.
