Smart craft gage going off on “oil pump fault” causing motor to go into limp mode. I then proceed to power down and power back up and all is fine, sometimes for months, sometimes for 30 ft. Problem has been happening on and off for last 5 years. Oil pump works fine, done the bucket test, correct volume, no problems there. Remote and internal oil tank on motor is also working fine. Merc mechanic can hook up to motor and see code coming in, reads “oil pump output.” Like I say, been happening periodically for years. Motor should of died long ago if it was real and bucket test works fine. Disconnected all 7 discharge hoses from pump. Need direction please.
