The time has arrived. My Carver is coming out of the water and will soon begin its long winter nap. Wednesday was a beautiful day. About 50* and 0 wind. It was a perfect day to end the season on.

I took a ride upriver as far as the Grosse Ile free bridge. Then I turned about and headed back downriver towards the marina. I pulled into an open spot by the boat lift. Boat will come out of the water later this morning.

I intend to just run this season into the next, unless we get some crazy weather warnings. Otherwise there are too many beautiful days available in the relatively sheltered confines of Kenmare bay. That and the fact that I'm still tinkering with the boat. The only other problem that I might have apart from the weather, is the tides. My harbour drains at low tide but I have a window about 2-3 hours either side of high tide.

Rick - those are some beautiful views! My season ended early due to cold drop offs in early October.... just couldn't take the chance.

The colors of the fall sky in Michigan - especially in the late afternoon / evening - are spectacular. Great photos Rick.
