My '87 Johnson Is Now Haulin *****

First thanks to all the great advice & info from all
Now one little thing- When i shift into reverse slowly i get a little grinding Am i just babying it? Shud i just pull it back & get it into gear or do i have a problem waiting to get worse?

shift firmly into gear!babying it will cause that grinding sound you hear.

Bang it in gear. Easing it in will wear out the clutch dog.

Snappy gear changes for sure. Also always make sure your at idle RPM or you can do some serious damage to the shifter fork and more. Glad to hear your motor is making you happy. Rick.
