my bass pro shop order was double shipped.

has this ever happened to anyone? my wife didn't know what to get me for xmas, so i told her i would put an order in at bass pro shops for me. i love the stuff. problem solved for everyone. anyway, i got the order yesterday, brought it home. i told her i wouldn't open it so i would be somewhat excited to open them for xmas. anyway, she calls me today and tells me they sent everything twice, except for two items. i ordered 16 items, got them all twice, except for two items. too funny. so i called them up and told them. i actually had to convince them that they did this. anyway, they are sending me shipping label to send it back. this is a first for me. usually i get orders from other places missing stuff.

If she ordered it on a credit card make sure they refund you all the money + the shipping and handling for the extra items.

If they do, it will be credited to your card they will not refund it directly to you, and then you will have a credit on your credit card account to go toward any other things you charge later.

If not you may have paid twice on the bill and lost money.

Check your receipts and credit card statements later for the credit they might owe you.

no. that's the funny thing about this. they charged me only for what i originally ordered, nothing more. when i was talking to them on the phone, they had no idea that it happened. they weren't sure i was telling them the truth..lol.

Oh, it's probably happened before. You were just the first person to let them know about it. The rest kept the extra stuff. Good for you!

I ordered 5 new tires for a trailer.Got 5 one day then the next day 5 more were setting at the front door...:confused:

Called the tire place 2 times and was told they would send a return shipping label.....months went by and never got it.
No way i was paying 75 bucks to ship them back.
So now i have 5 extra trailer tires....:rolleyes:

A number of years ago I went to Sears to get a leaf blower and a wet/dry vac. The floor salesman handed me the leaf blower and I had to drive around to the customer pickup area to get the vacuum.

I show the paper work at the pickup area and waited along with a bunch of other customers. Eventually, here comes the guy with the vacuum and another leaf blower on a cart. I tell him "I already have the blower." He responds back, in a rather loud voice, "Well, do want this %^& or not." So, I sheepishly say yes, loaded up, and went on my way.

I would have marched into the store and made a Manager aware.

I DON'T BLAME THE CUSTOMER but I call that theft on the part of the EMPLOYEE. Not to mention the rude behavior. NO EXCUSE in front of a customer-NONE!

I have the same issues when I process orders at work. our software is kind of funny, too many places to put in quantities. Quantity ordered, quantity to make and quantity to ship. if you put the quantity in the wrong spot you get two parts, two sets of two parts in the order or two sets of two in two orders.

there is also a button for "duplicate order on same ticket" .... :confused:
