I have a 1974 Wellcraft V-20 CC and I owned for the last 6 years. I seen in the catalogs in the early 70's they also made a smaller version a V-17 CC I always joked if I ever found one I would buy it, it's the perfect size for the Connecticut river and some smaller lakes here. Last night on Craigslist I saw one with no power at a reasonable price. I called this morning and went to look at it tonight, checked the transom stringers and deck all solid. The console was a mess but no worse than the one on my V-20 was I pimped out with starboard. Repaint in the interior and reassemble and find a good OMC V-4 it's rated for 100 HP. Looking forward to getting this in the water in the month or so. When it came time to finalize it , we agreed on a price, my son said he was paying for it and bought it for my birthday! This is the only V-17 I ever saw!
