Here is the story on my boat. I bought my 1975 Venture 1500 super bass boat with a 85hp mercury back in 2006 for $1800. I had it on the lake about 10 times that summer and it ran great but it took forever to start it when i first put it in the lake, but after it started i could just barely turn the key and it would start right up. after the summer in 2006 my truck quite on me and i had to get a car. so since then my boat has set the winter of 2006 until the winter of 2009. in February I pulled it out of storage because I finally bought me a truck. I cleaned all the electrical up and rewired the whole boat, now it starts with no problem like it did before. after getting it all running I noticed the lower unit was shot and had to buy another one. so I put another lower unit on yesterday, now all i have to do is rebuild the driver seat and clean it all up and i will be back on the lake.
