And it wasn't even in the water. LOL

Got a call from a police officer saying my boat was involved in a hit and run. Apparently someone hit the trailer and drove off. But they made a mistake. Someone saw them do it and called the police who tracked down the guy and was probably just going to give him a warning but the guy denided doing it though the damage on his vehicle matched the boat damage. So the officer charged him with hit and run. And there really isn't but aboout $5 dollars worth of damage done to the trailer and none to the boat. But it cost that guy 6 points on his drives licence and no telling what it is going to cost him in insurace increases!

Glad to see he got what was coming to him.

He could have tracked down the owner of the boat, and offered to repair damages... by the looks of it, you would have just told him, no problem, you have enough trouble on your hands with your repairs... But no... he tried to be dishonest and got what he deserved!

...so long sucker! Funny! Not fair but funny! I've had my fender bent up, no note. My brother had his truck backed into by a boat on trailer by the same guy twice with witnesses and the jerk denied it even after seeing his own red trailer paint on my bro's green truck. My brother took his plate # and reported the guy.

When Spinner_Bait and I were fishn in the Ozarks a guy came up wanting to know what kind of trailer we had..He had backed into one and had broken a Light..He was just wanting someone to know that he was headn out to buy a replacement to fix it for who ever owned it. Saw him later doing what he had promised to do..Don't see that much in todays world..

Gonefishin, Boy if there were only a bunch more like him in this world huh? How nice it would be.

But of course you seem to find more of the "So long Sucker" types, or no note at all ones.
