hi iboats,my name is Aaron and I just bought my first boat. its a 1990 Arriva 2050 with a 5.7 mercruiser, alpha 1(as far as i know). its in good condition.the paint is a little faded and a couple seams on the seats are coming apart. but it is a 1990. it came with a 3 person tube, water skis, all safetey equipment, newer snap on boat cover, a gamin fish finder, and the trailer. the guy wanted 5700 and I talked him down to 5000. kind of jumped into buying it without a lot of research but I did take it out in march to test drive it. ran great even cold. right know im in the process of getting a battery isolator and a second battery for a sound system. any advice anyone could give me would be great. thanks Aaron

Welcome to iboats.

I moved your thread. Good luck with your first boat. Please take a USCG Boating Course ;)

Have fun!

Coast guard or power squadron class would be great, if not, at least buy a Chapmans Piloting book and read the whole thing.

Re: my first boat

In addition to the boating safety course, get yourself a service manual for your engine and drive and make sure you perform all of the preventative maintenance BEFORE you go out and get stuck on the water.

congrats and welcome to iboats.
