My Force lives to run again another day

I now have the whole engine reassembled with used parts, sealed up, everything buttoned up. Tonight I set the lower in the water tub and started it. With a few adjustments mainly idle speed, The motor started and ran and ran. I have increased the oil in the mix until the rings set or 10 hours, I have the carb idle mixture backed out 1 1/4 turns for now. The motor spewed oil all over my tub and idled great, with good water flow. Tommorrow I will take it to the lake and run the whole lake not using WOT until 10 hrs is up which probably won't happen tommorrow. But just listening to it run in the tub I definately sounds like all four cylinders are hitting now and I am full of anticipation of what will happen tomorrow. To recap piston three rings broke and went out the exhaust and piston two had slapped the cylinder wall (lack of a better word it was rubbing the whole side on the wall).

So here it goes down the lake leaving a trail of oil LOL until It gets broke in.

Good luck with your maiden voyage! Take an extra set of plugs with you just in case.

Welcome to the club. LOL Congrats on the rebuild.

Like stated above an extra set of plugs is a good idea.

It ran and as time went by it ran even better can't wait to see what it is like on regular mix correct timing and the throttled that slipped put back right. Yep the ecentric slipped giving me only 3/4 throttle oh well no WOT for ten hours right. It seemed to smooth out the more I ran it.
