my gauges not working

The gauges on my 1989 four winns wont work. Could there be a fuse out somewhere besides the fuse panel by ignition. I read where there are some fuses by the engine but cant locate them. I unhooked the old depth finder and reconnected it. Im wondering if i have the wires crossed now. I have the red wire connected with the purple wire to the i on the ignition and the red and black connected to the ground. I have also connected the red and yellow to the b on the ignition switch. Can anyone tell me if have something connected wrong on the ignition switch.
