I took the red cloth bag off the Dirt Devil [DD] hand held and ran the intake hose to the Wet Dry [WD] vac into the DD discharge. Almost a perfect fit. Fire both of them ...suckers... up at the same time and I'm picking up dirt !!! The DD has a rotating brush as well. I also had kept the hose from a now deceased wet dry vac, and connected that to the new WD vac hose, doubling the length. Now I can vacuum the entire boat , on the trailer without ever having to put the WD in the boat. I just pull it around on its wheels with the hose. That's a real plus, especially if I am vacuuming up bilge water. [ Heavy stuff.] Without the DD connected of course. It works great on the steps in my house as well...:D:cool:

Hey, that's a great idea. Those dirt devils don't work work a carp :)D) anyway if you ask me. I've got one I haven't used in years..in fact, hopefully I haven't tossed it .. The beater will work great getting sand out of the carpet. I can see this will be standard equipment from now on.

Darn Straight!!! As a matter of fact, ya dont want to have any small kids or pets within 5 Ft of the intake when ya fire that sucker up...:D

I am glad you like it...Yup, try vacuuming first with just the bare nozzle on the WD, then add the DD and do it again and see how much more sand ya end up with...:D

My first thought is I could see Red Green making one of these but I think he would use a bit more duct tape

OK so I thing the motor fried on my WD Tore it down and have a broken wire going to the coil. :confused:If I cant solder it and get it working, I thing I may go up to the local Ax Man surplus store, and buy one of their used salvage motors for $4.00 Something perhaps from a used high speed buffer. About 5 times the size of the one thats on there now. Stand by for pics;):D
