in order to use my money in other areas of my boat, i decided to make my own bimini top. i got very, very sunburned last weekend so this is a must, but i dont have the $200+ to shell out for a new one, so... i had an old bimini frame which i used the main "bar"/"frame" and bought some 1/2" emt and bent then to fit the rear mounting holes. now, i'm using my existing boat cover for the top. its a nice custom cover with the snaps all around the cockpit and windshield( i got a open bow, 1987 glasstream 18', 3.0 i/o, alpha one) then a separate custom cover for the bow. now i have the canvase over the two frames w/ the cover snaped to the top of the windshield and tie downs holding it all tight to the back of the boat. i want to attach the "male" part of a rivet, like whats on the boat, to the emt to attach the cover to. if you follow all that what are you comments or if you have pics or if you know where to buy these "male" "rivets" all that will be helpful.
