Just out of curiousity, the model of my Johnson is a Belgium Model. Was this made IN Belgium or made FOR Belgium. Maybe some of you OMC gurus out there can clarify this.
The answer to your question is---"depends" Most motors for the European market were made in Belgium. Depending on the year, most of the smallest motors (like 4hp) for sale in USA were also made in Belgium. Again, depending on the year, motors were also made in other countries for sale in other markets. Australia would be one example.
If that is a serious question, same way that if you go to the dealer and buy a new German Volkswagon, it was made in Mexico. At least they were the last I heard. And how many other North American products do you buy that were made in China? The last USA solid rock American Dodge that I bought was made in Canada. Well that's a heap better than China!!
