So I was trolling the other day and the trolling motor started to stop and start and I kept on the pedal until it finally stopped. It was intermitted for a coupedal and and decided to bypass the control board and hard wire the trolling motor to the lower unit. The propeller didn't le of seconds then it stopped and wouldn't work. I took the pedal apart and started testing. I had 24 volts to the pspin. I took the lower unit apart thinking that it had water in it or bad brushes. I had a good connection and had 24v at the lower unit. So Im thinking it the armature but not sure. I tested the armature bar for resistance (bar to bar) and it was .5 and under. I also test resistance from bar to bar Parallel and all them were under 1. They were around .5 to .7 . What should I do now. Should it have spun when I put 24v straight to the electric motor. And is there another test I can do.
