My motor is missing a cover on my carb I think!!!

Can someone please help I just bought my first boat a few weeks ago and I am tuning up my motor and was wondering if some one could tell me what the cover for my carb is I need if I need one. The book shows a black cover but I cant seem to see them on any website to order. Thanks for anyhelp given

I think most boats do not have a cover (air cleaner?). My '95 force 70 doesn't. Not must dust on the water.

Every outboard I have ever has has had a cover on it. I just bought a boat with a 40hp force and it dosnt have a cover. The guy at the boat shop said it shouldnt make a difference.

Big Joe, perhaps if you told us the make, model & year...
Smaller engines typically will have no cover, larger ones will have an air box.
