Well I started my resto project last month after I got it in trade for some ice fishing gear...boat,motor and trailer and gas tank, ors, anchor and two seats. Tackled the boat first sanded it down inside and out and primed and painted it and used roll on bed liner for the floor. Took about a week redid the transom boards. Next I went to the trailer and sanded, primed and painted that and cleaned and went threw the hubs and rewired that took a couple of days. Next up was the motor I spent a few days cleaning it down. After that I wet sanded the spots that needed it and then primed and painted it really wasn't in bad shape to begin with. I saved the original lettering which took hours. I changed the impeller, coils, points and condensors. Changed the lower unit lube as well. After that went threw the tank and cleaned and painted that. I put in alot of hours but after the maiden voyage today it turned out to be worth....I'm ready to fish.

Here's some before and after pics.

Re: My motor restoration project

Great job. She runs like a champ.
Today was certainly a beautiful day to be on the lake in Minnesota.

Enjoy.
