My new boat: Jackplate, Antiventilation plate and overall height.

This is a pic of the 'out of the box' settings. The jackplate is non-hydraulic, but can be quick adjusted in the water with little fuss.

Out of the box, what is your take on the height of the antiventilation plate in relation to the keel?

The setback is 10", which requires (generally) an extra 1" of vertical height. As she sits, the plate is about 5.5" above the keel.

Looks on the high side to me! There is plenty of dialing in to come, but wanted some idea about a starting point.

With the set-back, deep-V hull, etc., my guess is to give it a run and then adjust/dial it in for best performance...might take a few to get it just right!....that's a sweet rig, and hope you enjoy it!....I had a Checkmate for a few years and just loved it! Good Luck!
