I did it...I shifted from center console fishing boats over to sport-class cruisers. Now it's not the biggest or newest boat on the water...that's for SURE, but I think I got a great deal. It runs like a top, and REALLY moves!! I feel like I'm learning how to captain a boat all over again it feels so different from my C/C boats I've owned the last few years.
She's a 1989 Scarab Excel. Mercruiser 350 (mostly stock) with 320 hours on it total. Boat is originally from Arkansas and spent the last few years in Dallas...freshwater ONLY!!
I was a proud new owner cruising in my local area this weekend. Can't wait to get her back out on the water. So happy I took a day off tomorrow just to get her back out in the water on Monday when the lake should be like GLASS (weather permitting).
Let me know what you think...
It is the original paint (1989) and interior and there aren't any major flaws. Sure it has the typical dings here and there (it is 20 years old), but still a very presentable boat. I hope I can enjoy her for years without major issues...but only time (and my maintenance) will tell.
