just finished completing my boat today!!!! i had gotten it this past october and have been working like a mad man on weekends and after work on it weather permitting! just done today and will be trying her out for the first time on the water this upcoming saturday. it will be a long work week lol

its a 1978 doral tri-hull. here are some pics of it

i made the transom saver out of a aftermarket strut bar that was on a 2000 honda accord i used to own. it was a perfect candidate for it as all i had to do was bolt 2 brackets on it and it was done! lol its VERY strong it just doesnt look perfect like it was specifically made for it

the paint is easypoxy gloss white. and i do NOT like the durability of this paint. and yes i prepped everything to a T and the surface was extremely clean. the paint does have a real nice gloss and it flowed out very smooth and dry time was pretty good to. but it just scratches so easily i wish i had gotten a better quality paint.

Is it me or is it missing a bilge drain hole in the transom? How do you get the water out when you collect some water?

nice looking boat!

The diamond plate on the transom... Was there any internal rot? Reinforced transoms always scare me for some reason.

Looks good, but smokingcraters right the only reason you see plates like that is cause it's shot out. Check it out real good I know for some reason people do put them on good transoms, but that's a big sign of a dangerous condition.

Great job on the boat. The transom saver looks fine to me, in fact I'd be proud of my ingenuity if I were you!

Looks like Ezmobee has another vote on the Easypoxy durability question! ;) :)

Great work. She looks brand new. Now you just have to spruce up the trailer a bit to be worthy of the pretty boat sitting on top of it lol. Have fun with her.

the transom is good and solid i just put it on to help dispurse the weight over a greater area of the transom. i didnt want and stress/spider cracks and i have seen on other boats where the mount bracket started digging into the transom a little bit
