Hi guys finely switch boats and picked up a 1993 21' Pontoon with a 1993 60 Johnson, it has been converted to pre-mix.

Have a couple of questions thought you could help me with.

At WOT the motor is only running at 4000 RPMs(around 15mph) I was reading and it appears this motor should be running 5000 Min and 6000 Max at WOT. Any reason you can think it is only running at 4k? I will need to check the prop but the boat runs really good pushes thru the water nice.

Starts right up and runs smooth.

The second thing is I have a water pressure gauge but it is not connected to the motor. From what I read I should be able to just install a Tee connector right before it comes out of the cowling and connect the hose going to the gauge?

Other than that I finely have a boat that starts when turning the key the first time ....lol

Any info you could provide would be appreciated.

Sure sounds like you are over-propped, btroy. Could be that the outboard was propped for a runabout and switched to the 'toon without switching the prop.

Ask this over in the prop section, they'll fix ya up. Sounds like a prop problem to me, FWIW.
