well, picked up my new/used boat last night. its my first boat, so i am incredibly excited. a little work to do over the winter to the motor... needs lower end work, but my buddy is going to do the work for me.

1973 MFG Gypsy 14 with a Evinrude 50 hp

wow, that is much nicer lookin than mine! but this is my first boat, and i think we are going to use it as is for now and in a few years maybe buy a newer boat and somewhat restore this one.


does anyone know what the capacity of the gypsy 14 is? the plate on the boat is not legible, and the only thing i can find online is that the weight capacity is 1175 lbs ( i think), but does that include the motor?

i would assume that it would be 4 people, but does anyone know for sure?
