Well a lot of itlems (cough, gas prices) has convinced me to install a kicker in the place of a 40 wi/ trolling plate.

THE ENGINE: An evinrude lighttwin I believe it is a 1964, today I put it on sawhorses and started in a barrel. I also picked up some tune-up items that I plan to put on tommorrow.
A really great little engine, Yammy40. One of the best ever.

The shallow water drive could come in handy, too.

Oh, but scotty c is right. You need to stay with the big Yammy and send the li'l Rude to JB, who promises to treat her with loving care. :D

Those are great little outboards...practically bulletproof. You'll like having it on your boat.

I use a 6 hp kicker to troll instead of using the 25 hp main engine. It's quieter, smoother and I can troll as slow as I want for hours and hours on a gallon of gas. I also like the piece of mind of knowing I'll won't miss breakfast if 25 hp has a breakdown.
