My new to me 2000 Chevrolet 3500, 7.4liter dually?

Hello everyone,
I just recently got a deal I could not refuse on a 2000 year, 3500, 7.4liter, Chevrolet Dually 4 door crew cab with 126,000 miles on it. Anyway, I am having an issue with it chirping when idling. I replaced both the idler puller and the belt tensioner pulley and it still makes the chirping noise. I did not replace the tensioner itself but just the pulley on the belt tensioner. The guy I got the truck from says he replaced the serpentine belt and put a new water pump on and it looks pretty new to me. So I am not sure what it could be. I did, however, remove the serpentine belt and it DOES NOT!!! make the chirping noise but as soon as I put it back on it does make the noise. It is about to drive me crazy and I have spun the acessory pulleys like the power steering pump, water pump, alternator by hand and cannot find anything I also put my ear to the end of a screw driver handle to hear if I can find the chirping noise. Any help would be appreciated to fix the chirping noise.

since you changed out the two idlers, next choices:
fan clutch
alternator
A/C compressor clutch
tensioner arm

I only run Gates belts for that reason.

Now that I think of it I am thinking my automatic belt tensioner assembly might be weak becuase it didn't take too much force to move it to take the serpentine belt off and put it back on again. I did do a spray the belt with water only using a spray bottle and the chirping went away monetary then came back immediately. Is that a sign it is the automatic belt tensioner?

No that's a sign of the belt making the noise.

I may be overstating the obvious, If you look at the tensioner, there is an arrow pointing to a wear range. If the arrow is within the range, the belt is probably the problem. Since when you sprayed water on it the chirp went away, I'd suspect the belt.

The serpentine belt fixed the loud chirping noises and now she runs smooth and quiet as can be. I bought a Dayco, polyribbed belt, at advance Auto Parts. At first I thought maybe the alternator was going bad and had Advance test that and they tested it twice on the bence as I watched behind them and the computer screen came up and said it was good. So the new serpentine belt is alot cheaper than an alternator or a tensioner assembly. Happy camper
