My new to me 2212 had a rip in the carpet between the seats. What are my options

My 1996 starcraft has 2 problems.
1) A rip in the carpet in the floor between the seats. What are my options.
A) Rip out all the carpet and replace it
b) Fix the spot
c) Replace the carpet with something else,

My vote would be to rip out the carpet and replace it with marine vinyl. I love mine! And it looks great with other carpeted areas of the boat: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w200/ezmobee/New Boat/DSCF2504.jpg
