Hi All: Purchased a new Tohatsu 9.8 2-Stroke & just put in on my Rigid Hull Inflatable (Force Four 10'5") I'm so damn impressed with this OB!!! I mean it's weight is only 57 lbs. & only 169cc engine. I can really fly now & it's much quieter then my old 1997 Mariner 6 HP 2-Stroke!!<br /><br />My Mariner 6 HP weight was 74 lbs!!! Never really cared for the Mercury/Mariner (had some issues with it) I sold that for $500.00 & scored the Tohatsu for $1200.00 I wonder why Tohatsu's are so inexpensive compared to Yamaha, Mercury etc.? I mean were talking anywhere from $500-$700 difference for a 9.9! <br /><br />I drained the lower unit oil & put in some Pennzoil 100% synthetic, also running some Pennzoil 100% 2-Stroke oil. Just can't say enough about this little tiny 9.8 HP OB! I just feel like I got the "Deal of the Century" <br /><br />So, if anyone is looking for a 9.9/9.8 with great power to weight ratio, I say look no further.<br /><br />Regards,<br /><br />Alex
