First of all, where are you living? The shipping charges can be expensive from here in Quebec! We'll see ;)

if your gonna use alum.you need a tig welder thats capable of continuous high freq. and you must use a/c not dcen or dcep,1/8 tungsten with a ball on the end,hope that helps if you are gonna use alum,if not a stick welder with some 7018 3/32will work just fine but you might find yourself doing alot of grinding...

I was going to make my own tower. I found a company call Sharpe Products http://www.sharpeproducts.com/ that sells pre-bent elbows and other parts in various sizes of steel and aluminum. Had a CAD drawing of what I was going to build and then came across a cheap powder coated aluminum tower with speaker can and wake board rack for far less than I could build one. Check out their site if you are thinking about building one.
