Thought I'd be a good dad and change props before taking the kids waterskiing on Saturday. Removed the ratty prop from my Volvo 270 and put on a brand new one. Off we go! My son made a couple laps on skis, then it was daughters turn. After a few failed attempts to get up, she decided it was time to quit. Went around to pick her up and afterward, boat would not go. I immediately knew what was wrong. Looked over stern and NO PROP!!!!<br />I was in shallow water so threw out anchor attached to a soda bottle as a marker and swam boat to shore. Later with fins and goggles, I did find prop but not the nut and lockwasher. Thus ended a great waterskiing day. Next time I will have spare nut and washer.<br /><br />Davie
