Hey yall! It seems that my '89 200DT is not recharging my battery. What do I need to look/fix in this case? Your help would be appreciated.

hey serg, you sure the battery's good? it'll take a charge & hold it? check out this battery site.

A car parts store will do a capacity load test.

beyond that, I recommend the yamazuki repair forum.

when we going fishing?

If the batt. checks good, its most likely the voltage regulator.

actually the stator provides the charging current, the rectifier just rectifies a sine wave to a half wave, the regulator just regulates the outpot to between 12 and about 16 volts.

my point was that you can have the best working stator and best working voltage regulator in the world, but without the rectifier to convert it over to DC wave form, its NOT gonna charge anything.
