....BUT I AM. saw an add on cragslist a few days ago for a free 1989 sea ray hull. ends up the guy lived four blocks away from me. The boat was blocked up in his front yard, so i pulled my extra trailer over expecting the worst, but hey you can never have too many free boats right? Well as you can see the hull is not in bad shape. the gel looks restorable, and the stringers that i can see are solid and rot free, the transom seems solid but who knows. windshield is in nice shape, and The Hydraulic steering works like a champ. The motor is a gone, but who wants that 135 Force piece of junk anyways. I dont think im going to be jumping right into this project seeing that i just finished my other boat.. but I see alot of potential in this boat, and i wouldnt mind seeing it with a 235 johnson on the back......

Nice find kalla man. How do you end up with an 'extra' trailer like that? Looks like a perfect fit.

my other boat was that trailer when i bought the hull. I fish exclusively in saltwater so i ended up buying a galvanized trailer. I was planning on selling that trailer and just hadnt got around to it. I was glad i still had it! the boat is a little big for the trailer but it works for now.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Well, here's how you might sell the idea of having this boat to your "woman." You got it free. If nothing else you could restore the boat and sell it and make some money. Well, maybe break even. Uh... well... hmmm....

I have to agree with Tashasdaddy here. My brother recouped the purchase price of an old Thundercraft he bought a couple of years ago by parting out the engine on a website that rimes with webay. The old tri-hull still needs to get finished but he got it basically free. (his wife is still mad, he named it "garage filling")

Always remember first the woman get mad then they get glad.... I get the same look and hard time when she hears my truck backing in with a new USS Minow on the trailer, then when we are out on the river or bay enjoying a great day she says Wow hun what a great boat.Without fail LOL

My new old boats have to stay outside. The garage is where I live until the sh*t storm blows over...d:)

Nice looking one you've got there kalla. Identical hull to my 92 Searay 170 3.0 IO...Before she sank at the dock in a storm :%

You'll want to watch that bow. She rides real close to the water with anyone up front. I've given more than a few people a bath.

Just beautiful lines tho!

adjusting the trim and trim tabs will counter the bow load.
