My '72 Evinrude 50, 2 cyl w/ electronic ignition sometimes will not start (no spark) when it is cold. I have checked everything I can think of and have gotten on this forum, and can't find the problem. Once it starts once, it will start every time until the engine gets cold again, then may or may not start. <br /><br />I found out the other day that I can get it to start if I jump a wire from ground to the white sensor wire at the power pack. As soon as it fires, I can remove the jump and it will run great. This seems to work every time. Any ideas what this is about?
