I acquired a free Force 50 hp yesterday that came with a project boat, mod# 508F91C, (1991) ser# 030273. It is rough, some jackwagon left me 8 inches of wires to decipher and try to figure out how to use the control that came with it. The control is a US Marine brand with four wires headed to the motor, orange, light purple black and red. Im just wondering if I should just match the colors of the control to the motors wires, which there are ten of them. I don't want to buy a manual, as I am unloading this if it runs, cheap.
Are the motor and control compatible, and does anyone have the color code to this motor? Thank you, Craw
