Mystery Gasket 1980 Johnson 50 hp

I'm rebuilding the carbs on the 50 hp Johnson. New floats, complete rebuild kit, core plugs and all. Can't figure out what this gasket is for. trying to attach a picture. Can't figure out attachment system. As I remember, it was easier prior. Anyone offer hints?

I think that gasket ( 5/8" diameter ) goes around the main nozzle.

I found that gasket. The one that has me puzzled is about 2.5" square with many channels in it. Hope to figure out the photo attachment thing.

spring will tell.Thanks, I was afraid it had been left out by the previous owner and perhaps was the cause of my carb problems. I hope my latest rebuild will solve the problem.
