I just got a 71 Starcraft Startrek V and it came with what I think is a mid 80’s merc. It’s serial number is A100815. I have never had an old merc like this so I’m trying to find some info on it. The serial number doesn’t seem to be listed anywhere I have looked on the interwebs. I checked the FAQ and either it wasn’t listed or I missed it. Any help is appreciated.

Brown / copper colors trim ??-----1985 model.----What horsepower ?

50hp 4 cyl copper colored but I don’t know that the cowling is original

Your serial number 0A100815 is coming up as an 1985 50HP EL Model Number 1050525.
L = Long Shaft.

So what could I have been doing wrong? Where did find that so I don’t ask the newbie question again. I did not see a serial range that number would fit into.
