Mystery part

I can't find this part in my manual or on mercruiser parts.com. Anyone know what it is, and more specifically where I can find a replacement?

The blue cylinder thing is the mysterious part.

That's the kill switch for engine tip up.

Thanks, I'll label it as 'unecessary' for now. The insulation on the wires is completely rotted away, it'll save me a few bucks to just bypass the thing, but what I can't figure out is if I save $10 on the part, and $10 on shipping, I just spend the same at mickey d's!
