Mystery Switch

Hey folks I have a question. On my new- 2-me pontoon I have four switches on my console. One is the horn, two are accessories ( I'll assume one is lights, the other tilt/trim but I don't know for sure), but the fourth one is a mystery. It's a two position rocker, has a green light on one side and a red light on the other and the letters "ANC" next to it. What in the heck is "ANC"?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Ah makes sense. I'm a new to the boating world so that never entered my mind. Plus I don't have an owners manual explaining that stuff. Now I need to figure Out what the two ACC rockers are for. Tilt/trim is on the control so it ain't that. They're wired but to what I have no idea. It's packed away for winter and I've not had it out yet, so that's why I hadn't tried them yet.

typical 'toon wiring. one may be courtesy lights, horn, nav lights, and your fore mentioned tilt/trim.

sometimes the 'toon is set up with a livewell, and there is a livewell pump switch.

Nav (navigation) position of switch illuminates the bow navigation lights (red/green) and the stern white light. Anc (anchor) position just illuminates the stern white light.
So, if you are anchored at night, you should only have the stern white light illuminated.

Some of the switches might lead to nothing. My toon is wired for docking lights and the wiring is there but not the lights. Another I don't know what it is for probably some other light that doesn't exist. And a third unused one I set up for my own use. The switch panels are multi use and the factory uses the options ordered. PT and Tilt won't be on the switch panel as I think you figured out. There should also be fuses for each switch.

Yeah I thought about that too - wired but to nothing. My next hurdle is figuring out how to install my kicker. I have a 40 hp Johnson as my main and I just bought Merc 9.9 with controls as a kicker.

Ultimately I'd like one key with a switch to toggle between the Johnson and the Merc. I'd also like dual controls on the helm instead of the Merc's mounted to the side. All is above my pay grade so I'll have the shop do that.

You will need a separate key switch for the Merc, as well as a separate wiring harness and controls. A separate fuel supply would also be a good idea, just in case your main tank gets contaminated with water or other debris..
