Finally got my 16' 1967 Naden in the water! There was a mad rush in the last few weeks to get her together, but I finished (minimum to operate) hours before we drove to northern Wisconsin.

There's still lots to do before she's "finished" (whatever that means), like power tilt/trim, bimini top, most of the wiring, etc., etc. But, she ran beautifully! Made the hours of hard work and aggravation worth it.

Beautiful! LOVE that you chose color too. Could you tell me how you rebuilt the back-to-back seats? Did you have someone do that...

I'm going to look for before pics... where were your other progress posts?

Congratulations. How much use did she get while you were there?

Re: Naden Project Update with pics

Thanks for the kind words...

Jennis9: I did the seats following some excellent posts on this site. Fortunately the old foam was in good condition. Built new wood seats patterned from the old and sewed the vinyl on my grandmother's old Singer. It was a pain, but good winter work. I'll attach some pics.

Progress posts are both under imported_JimmyMac and JimMachinery. I'll put up some of the original pics as well.

I got to use it for about 5 days. It sat in the water and didn't take on a drop. Good thing, too. I haven't had a chance to wire the bilge pump yet!

Jimmy - Great pics! Thanks for the info. I am going to redo ours this winter and am actually quite excited about it. But let's not talk about winter yet since we have an awful lot of fishing to do in the meantime!!!

I am impressed that your project came out so factory new... hope mine comes out as well.
