The mini-skeg that corrects for propeller spin is missing on the bass boat I just bought - thought it was called a skeg something, but can't find that on a parts catalog . . .

What is the actual name of this part, and does anyone have a suggestion of where I'd start looking for one cheap?

I'll have a manual in a few days, but I'd like to get this part on it's way before then!!!

Thanks in advance for any help!

CC

Its called a trim tab, part number 327640. Youll also need the screw number 313715. Any Johnson or Evinrude dealer can get them if they dont stock them. Most have used ones.

BTW -- its not a zinc like they were saying on the other forum.

Also make sure your prop clears. Sometimes guys take them off to run a large diameter / high rake prop. Sometimes they just lose them when doing a water pump job.
