i have a 79 115 and i ordered a carb kit, well it just came in the the mail so i decided to start replacing everything and i broke 1 of the black plastic rods that are connected to each carb thats controlled by the throttle... ive looked everywhere i could think of online and havent been able to come up with any luck, im not even sure the proper name for it,does anyone know what its called or perhaps where i can even get one?

have u tryed (old mercs .com) they have tecnical specs on carby parts and diagrams also (maxrules.com) google them

Thanks guys... tried all three and still no luck they have everything on the carb assembly but the part i need... i think i might have to make my own fix, i was thinking about using some stiff fuel line with some worm clamps but im not sure how well that would work...

thanks laddies, but that looks nothing like the parts i need... its a 3 inch piece of black plasticwith two hole in the middle... i dont see how this parts is so hard to find because it looks like it something that would break very easily, where the holes connect its only a 1/16 of an ich thick...

You are looking for the plastic piece that runs from the upper carb to the mid carb to open the throttle on the mid carb, as the upper one opens, correct? That is the item Laddies identified. A whole bunch of inline motors had these, so you can get one at any junk yard and at most dealers.

thanks chris... i ordered a new one so it should be here in a few days... i put the carbs back on and now im leaking fuel out of the bowl vent jet, any reasons why?

Either the float level is high or thr inlet needle is bad
